Kindness is Beautiful…Cruelty is NOT

Don’t want to leave your armchair to help protect our furry friends? No problem!
* Write to the producer of any program in which characters abuse or ridicule animals, and dash off a letter to the TV network that airs the show as well.
* Pen a brief letter “with a point” to the editor of a newspaper that runs an ad for a fur sale.
* Call the sponsors of upcoming entertainment events that use animals, such as circuses and rodeos (look for ads in your local paper).
* Include a PETA leaflet with every bill you pay, and place an animal rights sticker on the outside of the envelope.
* Ask your child’s teacher to stop keeping animals in the classroom or requiring the students to dissect.
* Show your hairdresser some of the many great beauty products that aren’t tested on animals.
* Ask for more vegan options at local restaurants and grocery stores.
* Include an animal rights quote or—better—Web link to a video in your e-mail custom signature.

The following cosmetics companies manufacture products that are tested on animals. Some of the names on the list may surprise you…I must admit I was very surprised.
GirlPaint encourages you to reach out and contact these organizations and politely implore them to cease all animal testing and to ban animal testing activities altogether; encourage them to spend their considerable resources on saving animals and researching better cosmetics testing methods. It could be the best gift you give some defenseless mouse, pig, dog, cat, ferret, sheep or other wonderful and deserving animal.

So you would prefer to use cosmetics and other products that have never been tested for safety and efficacy on any living thing? No? Then how should they be tested? On those zillions of volunteers lined up in front of the cosmetics companies? Perhaps on prisoners? Do you feel the same way about medications? Well, I personally don’t care to be anyone’s science experiment. There’s a difference between animal testing and animal cruelty. Your post is naive and uneducated.

There are hundreds of cosmetics and skin care companies that manage to provide quality products without testing on animals. My post is hardly naive, nor is it uneducated. Your post on the other hand, is cowardly and exhibits your inability to research even a little, what is real evidence. And the fact that it was posted anonimously proves my point just that much more.

well spoken, girl paint!!!!There is no need for animal testing anymore. And it has been proven over and over again how unreliable these tests are. The fact that they continue has more to do with financial interests of companys who benefit from these tests, than actual results. It is up to every individual to make kind choices and send a message….Nanni J. Good on ya girls, anonymous is a loser, he she it is obviously too scared to be identified. I think people like it should directly be aborted from the earth and sent in a rocket to the sun. Oh and if anonymous ever reads this, feel free to email me. Because I shall bombard you with so many images of dying animals thanks to dumb humans that you’ll throw up for a month, you dumb b*tch.sorry I’m just real burnt up about that comment…

Thanks for the list!I remember we used Johnson’s for our skunk. At skunkfest a friend told us they tested on animals. My mom and I were looking for a list like this.My sister said”Who cares? You’re using it for your animal ANYWAY…”She is missing the point. It’s MEANT for humans, so they should test on HUMANS. Not let animals suffer rashes and get make-up and soap in their eye to prevent injury to us. Companies who test on animals are COWARDS!
